My Studio Space

It's so nice to have my own space at home to work at. While my daughter was emptying out her bedroom and moving into her new home, I started shopping for work tables. I love the Kane County Flea Market in St. Charles, Illinois. It has a great mix of items - especially antiques. On my first trip, I found the vintage chalkboard. I've never seen one with so many cool details. The top has a picture roll - I can change the picture scene whenever I'm in the mood. It's a great little display shelf, and holds some of my brushes, pencils, and papers. My husband actually found my work island on another trip to the flea market. It is made from a kitchen/pantry built in from an old house. The top surface is the lane from an old bowling alley. There are wonderful drawers and pullouts on two sides.

Happy Valentine's Day

I promise to get over my blogger nerves and post on a regular basis. This is a page from my journal that I wanted to share for Valentine's Day. Most of the work was done with acrylic paint, pens, and pencils. I like to collect quotes that I wish I had the wisdom to write myself. The heart seemed to be a good spot to record these wonderful words.
